IconBiography respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects readers and contributors to do the same. This page explains how to report copyright concerns about material published on https://iconbiography.com/, including notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), where applicable.
Our Content
IconBiography publishes articles, guides, and visual inspiration about hair, fashion, nails, and home decor.
We aim to use material that we create, own, have permission to use, or are otherwise permitted to use under applicable law. If you believe material on our website infringes your copyright, please contact us so we can review your concern.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you are a copyright owner or are authorized to act on their behalf, send your notice to contact@iconbiography.com with the subject “Copyright Infringement Notice.”
Please include:
- Your physical or electronic signature, or the signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed. If multiple works at a single online site are involved, you may provide a representative list.
- Identification of the material you believe is infringing, including its exact URL on IconBiography and enough information for us to locate it.
- Information reasonably sufficient to contact you, including your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address, if available.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, their agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
Please consider whether permission, a license, fair use, or another legal exception applies before submitting a notice.
What We Do Next
We review copyright notices promptly and may request clarification if information is missing or unclear. Where appropriate, we will remove the material, disable access to it, or take other action required by applicable law.
If the material was submitted by a third party, we may notify that contributor and provide relevant details of the complaint. Notices and related information may also be shared with advisers or others where reasonably necessary to address the matter or comply with law.
Counter-Notice
If material you submitted was removed or disabled following a copyright notice and you believe this resulted from a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to contact@iconbiography.com with the subject “DMCA Counter-Notice.”
Include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed or disabled material and the location where it appeared before removal.
- Your name, mailing address, and telephone number.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the United States federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located. If your address is outside the United States, state that you consent to the jurisdiction of any judicial district in which the service provider may be found. Include your agreement to accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.
Where the statutory counter-notice process applies, we will handle a valid counter-notice in accordance with applicable law, including relevant notification and restoration procedures.
A counter-notice may be forwarded to the original complainant, including the contact information it contains. Please consider the legal implications before submitting one.
Images and Attribution
If you own an image displayed on IconBiography and believe it is used without permission or without credit required by its license, email us with the page URL, image URL, and information supporting your ownership or authority to act.
We will review the concern and address it as appropriate. Providing attribution does not, by itself, replace permission or another lawful basis for using copyrighted material.
Repeat Infringement
Where users or contributors can submit material, we may restrict or terminate their ability to contribute in appropriate circumstances involving repeated copyright infringement, consistent with applicable law.
